WHAT IS RAPID ALERT UK?

Rapid Alert UK is a community-based alert platform that helps locate missing individuals quickly — including older adults with dementia, children, or vulnerable adults.

IS RAPID ALERT UK FREE?

The app offers affordable personal plans starting at £0.99/month. Some plans are free for care homes, NHS, police, and collaborators (subject to approval).

WHO CAN USE THE APP?

Anyone with a plan can use it to report a missing person. Anyone can follow the social media sites and comment to help locate someone a lot sooner.

HOW ARE ALERTS SENT OUT?

When a person is reported missing, Rapid Alert UK distributes alerts via WhatsApp, Twitter (X), Facebook & Instagram. The system also targets the whatsapp alerts based on location first local then national.

You can register as many people as the plan you have signed up for. Then please see How are alerts sent out?

WHAT IF I WORK FOR A CARE HOME OR NHS TRUST?

We offer free or custom plans for care professionals. Visit our Organization Signup page to apply or please refer to organisation page in (please add the link for the orgs page in rapid alert website).

HOW DO I UPGRADE MY PLAN?

You can upgrade from the app via the “Update Plan” section, choosing a higher-tier plan or an organization plan if you’re eligible.

APP FUNCTIONALITY

HOW DO I REGISTER A PERSON?

Simply go to “Register a Person” in the app and enter their details. A photo is optional.

HOW DO I DELETE A PERSON?

Go to registered people choose the person by pressing on them and you will see a DELETE button – press the delete and the person will be deleted and the registration count will update.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN SOMEONE IS FOUND?

You can mark them as found in the app. Go to registered people and find the person found. There is a button FOUND please press and we will take care of the rest.

HOW TO I EDIT A PERSON?

Before you press alert you may want to update the description add clothes wearing etc. Go to registered people and you will see an EDIT button on the person, press EDIT and add whatever details inc new pic if required.

SECURITY & PRIVACY

IS MY PERSONAL INFORMATION SAFE?

Yes. We use industry-standard encryption and never share your data.

CAN I DELETE MY ACCOUNT?

Yes. You can delete your account via the app at any time, which will also remove all your registered data.

WHO CAN SEE ALERT DETAILS?

Only users who follow Rapid Alert UK’s channels (e.g. X, Facebook, Instagram) will see alerts – Users with registration plans will receive whatsapp messages.

HOW IS MY DATA STORED?

All data is securely encrypted and stored in AWS. Photos are only made public if an alert is issued. When the button is pressed for found it then goes back to being securely encrypted and stored in AWS.

PAYMENTS & SUBSCRIPTIONS

WHAT PAYMENT OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE?

We support Google Pay and Apple Pay as these are app store rules and RevenueCat for secure subscription management.

CAN I CANCEL AT ANY TIME?

Yes, you can cancel your subscription anytime from within the app, please see Can I delete my account
